Gvurrdon Sector is one of the power houses of the Vargr Extents. It is particularly well known and much trade passes between the Third Imperium, Zhodani Consulate, and various Vargr polities. The Thirz Empire and Thoengling Empire are two of the larger, more stable, and more powerful Vargr polities in the sector.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The area is rich in Vargr cultures, cuisines, and experimental societies. Interstellar society evolves so quickly in this region that traders often find their notes from recent trade expeditions already obsolete by the time of their next foray. Widespread, organized development of the region has never occurred. Everything in the sector happens piecemeal and pennywise.

- Vilani: One of the two principal languages of the Imperium, and common on border worlds of the rimward Vargr Extents.
- Zdetl: The primary language of the Zhodani and the Zhodani Consulate.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Only the most adventurous scouts from the Ziru Sirka ever made it this far and organized Vilani settlement of Gvurrdon never occurred. The Vargr have occupied the area for as long as local records exist. The precise extent of Zhodani involvement with the region remains mysterious, but it was occurring as early as the -2400s[1]. Imperial traders now range the sector, but that is a relatively new phenomenon.

Politics & Diplomacy (Interstellar Relations)[edit]
The area is a hot bed of Zhodani-Vargr interstellar relations. The Imperium is new to the scene and eager to cultivate interests. The chaotic nature of Vargr politics keeps the region in a constant state of flux, preventing conquerors from making lasting footholds. Some bastions of stability remain though, despite Vargr nature. The area is quite complex, diverse, and both free and desirable by Vargr standards.
The present Imperial policy has been one of economic engagement with the Gvurrdon Vargr; Imperials have established several trading stations along the border to encourage commerce. The goal is to tie Vargr factions economically to the Imperium, lessening the chance of their joining the Zhodani in future wars.

Trade Routes (Economic Astrography)[edit]

Worlds, Systems & Sectors (Political Astrography)[edit]
Gvurrdon remains an astrographic region of medium stellar density, with relatively large areas of void between populated clusters or civilizations. This makes it very difficult for J-1 starships to freely operate. A widespread system of jump bridges would be prohibitively expensive as well as beyond the organizational capabilities of the relatively unorganized polities in this region of the Vargr Extents. As such, the prices of interstellar goods within this area remain higher than average. It takes quite a brave and determined merchant to make it in Gvurrdon Sector.
