History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Roeknughroe is a small moon rich in lanthanum. With such a valuable resource, it became a key world for the Thirz Empire, and once they had conquered the original population (far smaller than the colony would become under their rule), a naval base was established. The Thirz Empire poured a lot of resources into Roeknughroe as the lanthanum supply was essential to their expansion during the late 800s. The population has swollen greatly, passing 90 billion.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Roeknughroe has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.

World Culture[edit]

There is a strong Zhodani influence on the Thirz Empire, of which this world is part. Psionic training is more commonplace than on most Vargr worlds.
