Ngoerrgh is a poor, non-agricultural, and nonindustrial desert hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often develop intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- This world has no free-standing water.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- This world has few prospects for significant economic development. The inhabitants of this world lead a bleak existence.
- It is a member of the Society of Equals in the Dzen Subsector of Gvurrdon Sector in the Vargr Extents.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This world once led an interstellar nation known as the Ngoerrgh Togzekhz. The aftermath of the First Frontier War proved disastrous for the state, and it fell apart in a civil war.
Now a backwater world, Ngoerrgh is currently noteworthy only for its unusual form of computer-based governance, introduced circa 1070 by a charismatic leader named Korrgga, who introduced a new era of peace to this previously warring world.
"Ngoerrgh" is an Arrghoun numeral, corresponding to one thousand.
World Starport[edit]
Ngoerrgh has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Technology Level[edit]
Ngoerrgh possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government[edit]
Ngoerrgh is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
- The government of Ngoerrgh uses expert system computers to make decisions about governing. Unfortunately, the technology isn't up to making very great decisions and the standard of living on this world is correspondingly poor.
- Although there is a single government, each continent is ruled by a separate faction. These factions continually compete to become the most influential, paradoxically trying to boost the effectiveness of the technology without allowing higher-tech systems from other worlds, which would threaten their political control.

World Economy[edit]
Due to the importance placed on computers by the government, and its paranoid need to control them, all related technology is strictly regulated. Special permits are required to manufacture, distribute and sell most forms of technology. Ships entering and leaving the starport are subject to random searches, especially first time visitors. Any unauthorised technology is impounded. Unless the owner can prove legitimate intentions, the confiscated equipment is sold on to junk dealers.
