Afougae is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and are both non-agricultural and nonindustrial in nature.
- These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- They require extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- The worldlets are, for the most part, unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- These worldlets have very few prospect for economic expansion.
- It is a member of the Commonality of Kedzudh in the Firgr Subsector of Gvurrdon Sector.
- This world has a colony at Asugunkhodz.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport[edit]
Afougae has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Government (G)[edit]
Afougae is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
- This world is a member of the Commonality of Kedzudh. Governments within the Commonality retain their autonomy but pay a small amount of tax to help support its police force and small navy.
World Economy[edit]
Since the Commonality has good relations with most neighboring states, including the Third Imperium and the Zhodani Consulate, a number of Vargr merchant combines have arranged to use the polity as a "flag of convenience", paying a small annual fee for the privilege.
Any illegal or stolen goods found by the Commonality's navy are confiscated and used to help finance the fleet. Merchants who want their goods back are permitted to appeal within one week of the goods being impounded.
