Ksunekso is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.

  • In a technological universe, societies without industrial capability generally suffer as nearly all manufactured and high tech goods must be brought in at significant cost.
  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by Vargr sophonts located in the Firgr Subsector of Gvurrdon Sector.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

  • The mainworld.
  • x3 secondary rocky worlds.
  • x4 gas giants. One of them is named Narax; it supports a series of rings and multiple moons, among them Kashi. Kashi is a planetoid swathed in filamentous microorganisms with a highly efficient photochemistry, and home to a secretive D-class port.
  • x2 planetoid belts.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The people of Ksunekso have become experts in the development and manufacture of a wide range of drugs. Numerous pharmaceutical corporations and research institutes seek test subjects here to try out new products. Communal drug taking has in fact become a popular pastime, with numerous packs convening to share their drug-related experiences. The 20% of citizens that abstain from drug use are viewed with suspicion -- they have been forced to form a political faction to protect their interests.

Although Ksunekso is often referred to as the ‘planet of junkies’, their first-rate medicinal drugs are exported throughout Gvurrdon Sector.

World Starport[edit]

Ksunekso has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.
