Soungadano is a low-population hellworld with a population less than 10,000 sophonts struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment .

• This world toils under the control of a military government with conditions reflecting that situation, including curtailed civil rights and limited freedoms.
• A Prison World, exile camp, or prison camp for criminals or other exiles is located upon this world in addition to other points of interest.
• It is a member of the Thoengling Empire in the Lla Iz Therrg Subsector of Gvurrdon Sector, in the Vargr Extents.

• This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.

Mainworld Data

There is a severe axial tilt. The climate is harsh, with summer temperatures above 300°C. In the winter the temperature may sink below -46°C. These severe swings in temperature make it a dangerous place to live.

• There are frequently storms that can easily kill an unwary traveller.

History & Background (Dossier)

Soungadano is a former prison planet for the Thoengling Empire.

• Some still view it as a prison planet, and some criminals have the choice between selecting a ordinary sentence or trying to re-install their charisma by working for a living on Soungadano.

The main exports are compounds and crystals. Animals both dead and alive are also an export article, but not a very popular one.

World Starport (Sp)

Soungadano has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• There is an associated Naval Base.

New Era

The world has been isolated since the Virus struck. How the conditions are on the planet at this time is unknown.
