History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Lorkan Kfoeng.jpg

Colonized during the Second Vargr Diaspora, this world is the capital of the Society of Equals.

It was previously involved in the Gvegh Wars.

Dzuerongvoe is home to the Lorkan Kfoeng corporation, a sector-wide, independent law enforcement agency firm.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Dzuerongvoe has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.
  • Highport: Dzuerongvoe SkyCove
  • Downport: Dzuerongvoe DownCove

World Population (P)[edit]

Dzuerongvoe has a population of 4,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).

Urbanization[edit]

Vargr cities are lively and chaotic, full of garish colours and loud noises. Streets are packed and buildings press together. Vehicle traffic is fast and chaotic; the accident rate is low only because of superior Vargr reflexes. Zoning codes are rare, and districts jumble together.

World Government[edit]

Planetary (and Polity) leadership is increasingly insulated from the population, falling into the same, repeatable pattern as a previous government (uprisings and an eventually successful coup).

World Economy[edit]

The Society of Equals is primarily built on free trade between member worlds, which are encouraged to foster trade relations with one another. With the exception of locally determined contraband, embargos between member worlds are forbidden. Refusing trade of legal goods from another member imposes fines.

Later History[edit]

An ill-considered war with the Thirz Empire waged from 1111 to 1116 saw the Society of Equals lose a lot of territory. Most significantly, the Society lost Dzuerongvoe, though the rulers managed to escape. The Society of Equals subsequently moved their capital to Taeksoudhagnou (Gvurrdon 1623).

New Era[edit]

The Empress Wave strikes Dzuerongvoe in late 1170 or early 1171, driving this High-Population world into madness and chaos.
