Luerrgnudhlaerz is a recent acquisition by the Society of Equals. As word spreads of the world's pleasant conditions, more and more Society of Equals citizens are warming to the idea of settling here.

World Starport (Sp)

Luerrgnudhlaerz has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.

World Population (P)

Luerrgnudhlaerz has a population of 3,000 sophonts (thousands).

• This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without a little outside assistance. This may represent the home base of a sizable but mostly transient population such as the base of a major starship expedition, the last generation of a dying colony, the first generation of a new colony, or a large outpost that will probably evolve into a colony if not stopped.
• The population consists of Vargr.

Urbanization

The population of Luerrgnudhlaerz, as of 1105, is spread over two core settlements, which are both located near the starport. Most of the trade and services here are intended to serve the needs of the naval base that was established to protect Society of Equals worlds in this subsector.

Vargr cities are lively and chaotic, full of garish colours and loud noises. Streets are packed and buildings press together. Vehicle traffic is fast and chaotic; the accident rate is low only because of superior Vargr reflexes. Zoning codes are rare, and districts jumble together.

World Government (G)

Luerrgnudhlaerz is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.

The interstellar government that encompasses this world is ruled by a tight elite. The Vargr population is divided between Equals and Non-Equals; only a Vargr that has been rated Equal may take a ruling position in the government.

Luerrgnudhlaerz has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
