Oegaeldu is a nonindustrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a member of the Commonality of Kedzudh in the Firgr Subsector of Gvurrdon Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport[edit]
Oegaeldu has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Government (G)[edit]
Oegaeldu is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
- This world is a member of the Commonality of Kedzudh. Governments within the Commonality retain their autonomy but pay a small amount of tax to help support its police force and small navy.
World Economy[edit]
Since the Commonality has good relations with most neighboring states, including the Third Imperium and the Zhodani Consulate, a number of Vargr merchant combines have arranged to use the polity as a "flag of convenience", paying a small annual fee for the privilege.
Any illegal or stolen goods found by the Commonality's navy are confiscated and used to help finance the fleet. Merchants who want their goods back are permitted to appeal within one week of the goods being impounded.
