Iadr Nsobl is one of the provinces of the Zhodani Consulate.

Description (Specifications)

This turbulent province includes the Zhodani portions of Yiklerzdanzh, Afachtiabr, Iakr, Briakqra', Tloql and all of Ziafrplians Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)

It has been actively involved in wars and military conflicts, as well as political upheavals in the client states. People from Iadr Nsobl have a reputation for being a bit more adventurous than other Zhodani, though the average non-Zhodani is unlikely to notice much of a difference.

The Iadr Nsobl provincial council meets on Fitl (Ziafrplians 2331).

Regional Navy

In Iadr Nsobl province, the regional navy is relatively well equipped and experienced, due to constant operations against Vargr corsairs, Imperial forces, and squabbling client states.

Historical Data

After the First Frontier War (589-604), elements of the Iadr Nsobl leadership wanted intelligence regarding territories to rimward. This led to increased exploration into various rimward sectors, particularly the Vanguard Reaches. In 626, a state called the Driantia Steblenzhtia -- Vanguard Consulate -- was established in the Vanguard Reaches to further these aims.

In 631, the Zhodani Consulate decided to set up another such state, further to spinward. This planned state (to be known as the Driantia Sitiefladr) would also be a buffer state to prevent expansion of the Talpaku Communality. By the mid 600s, the Consulate had second thoughts about this latter expansion. It was decided that the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity would be an excellent buffer state (at least for the short term), so the Driantia Sitiefladr project was abandoned. The Driantia Steblenzhtia, however, was a success, in time joining with the pre-existing Colonnade Administrative District to form the Consulate's Colonnade Province.
