Dzukoun is a rich, pre-agricultural world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts in size.
- The world's agricultural industry is growing and some economists forecast an explosion in this world's agribusiness in the near future as new agro-technology and a more capable labor force are imported.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
- This world contains an archaeological site with suspected high-tech remnants of the now-vanished Ancients precursor race.
- This world is also the overall capital of an interstellar government with the massive extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- It is a member (and capital) of the Saeknouth Dependency in Ongvos Subsector of Gvurrdon Sector.
Description (Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Topography and Geography[edit]
Dzukoun's rich oceans teem with sea life and microscopic nutrients. This has attracted fishing communities and mining corporations with advanced water filtration technology capable of extracting minerals from the seawater.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The government and citizens of Dzukoun have become very wealthy exploiting the world's oceans.
Recent underwater surveys have revealed alien technology buried under the ocean floor. Many believe that this originates with the Ancients. The government has few relevant experts of its own, so is negotiating with the Zhodani.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Dzukoun has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.
