Gushemege Sector is a core sector full of old wealth and settlement.
- When the Vilani arrived, the area already had several established sophont civilizations, and was a focal point of the Consolidation Wars. Some local resentment of Imperial authority still exists several thousand years later.
- This area is bordered by the Great Rift.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Despite the sector's great sophont diversity, the area has long been culturally dominated by great powers. Between the Ziru Sirka and the Rule of Man, the only independence the area ever experienced was in the pre-Vilani period. Despite this cultural hegemony, the area is incredibly diverse with rich civilizations, many languages, and vibrant trade networks.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
During the Interstellar Wars the Solomani installed the sector capital of Gushemege on Kamurinmur/Dashinshaii (Gushemege 2224).
- During the Civil War (604-629) Gushemege sided against Arbellatra.
- In 761 Paulo I moved the sector capital to the Imperial fleet depot on Usdiki/Rure (Gushemege 1015).
- Many, especially Solomani astrogation cards, still show Kamurinmur as Usdiki.
- The Rurevayn (Rure Subsector) around Usdiki became Strephon's Imperium during the successor war (1117-1125).

Politics & Diplomacy (Interstellar Relations)[edit]
Gushemege is an Imperial stronghold, but it still has considerable internal dissent and a very complex and turbulent political interplay of its many quarreling factions. The region contains several Imperial Cultural Regions with several sophont species also aspiring for greater recognition. The local Imperial Nobility are far less humanocentric than in many other sectors due to the considerable demographics of nonhumans. Graytch, S'mrii, and Droyne tend to dominate sector politics although humans from the Lancian faction as well as mainstream Imperials still hold considerable sway. In addition, the Aslan Hierate maintains a number of embassies and trade missions within the sector. The Imperial Aslan clans, well-established societies dating back to the Long Night, remain of considerable interest to greater Aslan society.

The Dagudashaag Main[edit]
- Though it has only two systems in Gushemege, the 192 systems of the Dagudashaag Main are host to the sector capital of Medurma (Dagu 2124) as well as the subsector capitals of Argi (Dagu 1431), Collette (Dagu 2725), Diishalum (Dagu 0714), Piileir (Dagu 1833), Ushra (Dagu 1016), and Zeda (Dagu 0721).
The Gushemege Main[edit]
The Gushemege Main has 213 member worlds and runs between Gushemege, Dagudashaag, Zarushagar, and Ilelish Sectors.
A simple chart of the main is depicted, right:
- Worlds lying on the Main are highlighted in green.
The Vilani Main[edit]
The Vilani Main, the mighty trade artery of the Ziru Sirka, extends into the subsector from coreward-trailing.
- High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.
A simple chart of the main is depicted, right:
Clusters & Traces[edit]
- As on As Cluster: On the border with Dagudashaag Sector.
- Beheld Cluster
- Dudin Cluster (also referred to as the Metlicoyl Cluster): On the border with Dagudashaag Sector.
- Platon Cluster
- Sidurii Cluster (a branch of the Vilani Main)

Worlds, Systems & Sectors (Political Astrography)[edit]
Gushemege is located on the edge of the Great Rift and while the riftian subsectors are practically complete voids, the greater area of the sector contains considerable stellar density with many convenient mains and great traffic on the starways.
Capital/s: 1105[edit]
Sector Summary: 1105[edit]
The Gushemege sector has 535 worlds with an estimated combined population of 537 billion, a per capita income of Cr7,351, and a total economy of BCr3,947,871. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr36,073 through 441 starports (81 Class A, 135 Class B, 159 Class C, 66 Class D) employing 5,925,605 people. Driving this interstellar trade are 73 Agricultural (Ag) worlds, 48 Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, 47 Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, 32 Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, 48 Rich (Ri) worlds, and 22 Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Gushemege maintain 139 Scout bases, 81 Naval bases, five Way stations, and one Naval depot. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Roy (Gushemege 1801), Munnarn (Gushemege 1013), Shir (Gushemege 1020), Platon (Gushemege 1412), Ed (Gushemege 2313), and Masa (Gushemege 2513).
The Gushemege sector contains 796 stars and 5,604 identified planets; 297 monostellar systems, 215 binary systems, 23 trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 399 of the 535 systems (74%) have native gas giants. There are 11 Asteroid (As) belts, 50 Desert (De) worlds, 36 Garden (Ga) worlds, 16 Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, 105 Poor (Po) worlds, 45 Vacuum (Va) worlds, and 39 Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Gushemege has an estimated population of 537 billion distributed across 38 High population (Hi) worlds, 50 Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 283 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 112 Low population (Lo) worlds, and two Barren (Ba) worlds.
