Mulanje is a pre-agricultural and nonindustrial world lacking adequate development for its economy to become prosperous.

  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Taapvaia Subsector of Gushemege Sector in the Domain of Vland.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Imperial and corporate presence protects (and/or exploits) two native populations. One of these consists of Chirpers, while the second is the Edlun.

Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]

Mulanje, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the estate of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Mulanje has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
