Gelhhach is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world located in the Riften Subsector of Gushemege Sector.
  • Nearly 100% of the population is composed of Hhrachddrumm.
  • Less than 10% of the population is composed of baseline humans and other non-human sophonts.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Gelhhach is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Gelhhach has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Gelhhach has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Native Sophont (NIL): Hhrachddrumm[edit]

A threefold-symmetrical race adapted to the cold.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

At the time of first contact the Hhrachddrumm were principally a pastoral society, dispersed over Gelhhach in agrarian communities at TL–1. On rediscovery by the Sylean Federation the Hhrachddrumm had elevated themselves to TL–4.

In the time of the Third Imperium, Gelhhach is an agricultural exporter and thus an important world to the well-being of average citizens in its subsector and beyond.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Gelhhach has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Gelhhach has a population of 2,000,000 sophonts (millions).

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Gelhhach possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.

World Government (G)[edit]

Gelhhach is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.

World Law (L)[edit]

Gelhhach has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Portable energy weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
