Description (Specifications)

The ConSentiency is a carefully apolitical alliance consisting of 42 star systems. Planetary governments within the ConSentiency share strong trade links and are striving to establish a common economic market.

• Planets within the ConSentiency state that they have no other governmental or political links, and no ambitions, though this claim is strongly contested, mainly by the Vilani megacorporations, who publicly state that the ConSentiency is 'a rebellion just waiting to happen'.

History & Background (Dossier)

The original S'mrii ConSentiency or Reeskia'mrassa was founded in -1570 as a trade alliance by the S'mrii. It survived until the Pacification Campaigns, with a war that started in 74, and finally surrendered in 108.

With the foundation of the Lancian Cultural Region in 639 by Arbellatra, the S'mrii reestablished the ConSentiency as a loose trading association. Phylum Kiaskui, led by Duke Kiaskui the subsector duke of Mimu Subsector, supported this effort.

Technology

S'mrii techniques use multiple redundant systems and components made to extremely high tolerances to produce very reliable vehicles. Visually, S'mrii craft are noted for aerodynamic efficiency. They favour "sharp", wedge-shaped profiles.

The primary S'mrii starship contractor, U'Chakzii-Ziask, holds a great many production licences for commercial craft from other Imperial corporations. A feighter built by U'Chakzii therefore often looks very much like a freighter built by Medurma AstroTech or General Products. However, they do produce their own designs. Streamlined craft tend to be based, once again, on a wedge configuration, while non-streamlined vessels are usually of a modular type, consisting of a central tapered cylinder and octahedral modules for cargo and crew.

Interstellar Conventions

The S'mrii code Truakha'ra is the ConSentiency distress signal, equivalent to the Solomani "Mayday" or the Vilani "Signal GK". It loosely translates as "We Need Immediate Help".
