Ziruushda supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it dangerous to visitors. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Old Suns Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Ziruushda, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This is the homeworld of the Gograhhah, an extinct Minor Race. 80% of the world's population is the Minor Race Hamaran. 10% of the world's population is the Human Chimera Aquan. Less than 10% of the world's population is the Minor Race Bwap. During the Long Night this world was named Gaash Iish.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Ziruushda is a member of the Gvadh Cluster.
Stellar Data[edit]
Ziruushda orbits a single, M-type primary, named Hawayeil.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld
- x9 secondary rocky worlds
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Ziruushda is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Ziruushda has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Ziruushda has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Topography and Geography[edit]
- Ghelukhi Archipelago: The main Hamaran colony and site of the starport.
- Aaba: Westernmost island in the archipelago.
- Aaba-hÜ Monastery
- Cha: A solitary island to the south of the archipelago
- Kaÿ (Ghelukhi Prime)
- Ridge of Gheò: An area constantly covered in thick mist, home to the Hagruhä Cloudwalkers
- Aaba: Westernmost island in the archipelago.
- Pinnacle of Oracles: The highest mountain on Ziruushda.
- Shaol
- Talä: A great chasm
- Tagäz: The largest island continent; apart from a single ridge of mountains to the west, primarily a mixture of jungle and swamp.
- HagÜ: A mountain range
- HagÜ Monastery, upon the ridge of the Dagaä.
- HagÜ: A mountain range
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- DiaÜ: A type of tree
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Ziruushda is primarily a Hamaran colony. As such, the official population figure is misleading, as Hamaran custom leaves large numbers of their people off of any census.
Ships arriving in-system are contacted immediately regarding docking requirements. Cargo ships are handled by the Ziruushdan Trade Confederation Orbital Administration, while passenger facilities are franchised out to Medurma Main StarLines, who give priority to their own ships.
Point of Interest: Mysterious Statues[edit]
This world is famous mostly for the thousands of statues that lie along its coasts and under its shallow seas. These statues apparently depict all known races within Dagudashaag Sector as well as several unknown, possibly extinct races. It is believed that the statues were left by one of those now extinct races, the Gograhhah Reivers, though the planet was apparently never colonized.
Point of Interest: Böru Religion[edit]
The planet is now home to a unique form of the Böru religion. The planet was declared an Amber Zone in 1102 after 42 Hamaran priests burnt themselves to death as a protest after a group of forwarder tourists insisted on filming and taking souvenirs from a local funeral ceremony. IISS has now restricted access to prevent any further disturbances of a similar nature.
Note that Ziruushda is also home to the Hagruhä, a small clan of Hamaran that purposely dwell apart in utter isolation. The Hagruhä are total atheists and utterly shunned by all others of their race. Most Hamaran believe that they are utterly insane and can't comprehend how members of their species could hope to exist without Böru.
Imperial Landed Nobility (N)[edit]
Ziruushda, as a member world of the Third Imperium, has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.
It holds the estate of an Imperial knight.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Ziruushda has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Ziruushda has a population of 4,000 sophonts (thousands).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without a little outside assistance. This may represent the home base of a sizable but mostly transient population such as the base of a major starship expedition, the last generation of a dying colony, the first generation of a new colony, or a large outpost that will probably evolve into a colony if not stopped.
- By Hamaran religious tradition, most of the Hamaran population are not included in this figure. Subadults and religious figures (the latter a significant percentage of the Hamaran population) are left off of any census.
- The listed population is that of the Downport and its surrounds. Even without accounting for Hamaran custom, the true population is considerably higher.
World Demographics[edit]
Linguistic Topography[edit]
- Kiriani
- Most Hamaran inhabitants speak pure Kiriani, though one of the requirements for entry into the Hachar Gyasö (Government) or working at the starport is a fluency in Galanglic and Galaach.
- Na: Used by Aquans
- Vilani, Sfuizia and Kehuu may also be spoken but not beyond the Ghelukhi Archipelago.
Urbanization[edit]
Settlements include the following:
- Ghelukhi Archipelago: 3,500, A-class Starport
- Shaol: Spaceport, class-G
- BhughÜ: Spaceport
World Government[edit]
World Government is non-existent. The functions of administration and local government are carried out by Gyasö (monks and nuns) of the various Hachar Monasteries, with the legal, judicial and tithe functions being handled by elite councils made up of those Hachar Gyasö who are also members of the Sahki Tas (lawgivers interest group).
The Shaol settlement governs itself according to Scanian law. Scanian legal procedures are as follows:
- The Gate Bakamaa deals with all monetary matters
- The Gate Bah'ezi deals with contract law, including marriage contracts.
- The Gate Babha'ti deals with governmental law.
- Criminal law is dealt with by the Court of judgement; trial by three judges.
- In minor matters a person can elect to have his case heard by Hedyo't. This consists of any three Scanians who are considered totally impartial, and any judgement reached is considered legal.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Ziruushda possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
