The Gograhhah of Ziruushda (Dagudashaag 1204) are an extinct minor race.
They are typically known as "Gograhhah Reivers", since all references to them involve their piratical and destructive conduct.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Very little is known of the Gograhhah – the name comes from the only surviving recording of a Reiver attack and appears to be the most common word spoken. Their appearance seems to show them as being of a number of different races, many completely unknown today; however they are all bipedal, tall (over 2m high), completely bald and have extremely long arms (hanging two thirds of the length of their bodies).
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Their only known presence is on Ziruushda (Dagudashaag 1204) where they left the thousands of statues that lie along its coasts and under its shallow seas. These statues apparently depict all known races within Dagudashaag Sector as well as several unknown, possibly extinct races. It is believed that the statues were left by one of those now extinct races, who would be the mysterious Gograhhah.
Sometime during the Long Night, the Reivers vanished or went extinct and now the only evidence is a single surviving holofilm recording, the statues and carvings, and their reputation for ruthlessness.
Reality[edit]
Unknown to modern researchers, the Gograhhah were a single race native to Nukaush when discovered by the Vilani; a polymorphic life-form, capable of dramatically altering their physical appearance. Eventually the starships they acquired stopped functioning and their slaves died. The few surviving Gograhhah not living on Nukaush died out within a generation since only females were warriors and no males had gone off-world. Given their fluid internal structure, their corpses degraded quickly; their camps had only been roughly-built huts and shelters which left little trace. What survived were their carvings, many of which were based on images they had seen in books or had 'taken' during raids; others were copied from tunnels connecting to an extinct Malaach nest. On Nukaush the remaining Gograhhah degenerated rapidly. Language was lost, and their unintelligent descendants are what is now known as Jhesters.
