Kima, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdoms of a marquis and a viscount. All three are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Meiir.

History and background[edit]
Kima was once a thriving agricultural community. Kima's primary went through a period of increased stellar activity in the 320s, raising the normally cool world to temperatures that led to loss of significant proportions of the atmosphere and surface liquid. Consequently it is a constant struggle to survive on the world. The IISS is now involved in two separate operations on Kima — monitoring the primary's activity and introducing a resettlement program to other worlds.
A major conservation effort is also underway to transfer some of Kima’s unique native wildlife before they become extinct. At the moment the S'mrii ConSentiency are funding the re-homing of the last surviving Kimahan Skyhawks or PouKais.
