Civilian Ship
Civilian Ships conduct trade, tourism, and a variety of non-violent ends. They tend to be under private ownership and rarely carry more than light armament for self defense purposes.
- Civilian ships typically mount "basic" grade sensors.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Civilian vessels tend to be designed along socioeconomic ends rather than defensive, security, or military ends like paramilitary or military craft. While some are designed to serve the needs of individual sophonts as personal craft, many more serve the needs of interstellar trade and local world-state government usage. Because such craft primarily serve socioeconomic purposes, cost efficiencies are a very important part of their Naval Architecture.
