Paramilitary Ship
Paramilitary Ships are a step in-between civilian and military starships. They patrol the system as police, inspectors, and in a variety institutional roles. They may carry armament, but usually much less than a comparable military platform.
- Paramilitary ships typically mount "standard" grade sensors.
- The majority of paramilitary vessels are owned by institutions or governments rather than private owners. As such, many mount military grade equipment or ship weaponry.

The vast majority of paramilitary ships are used by smaller interstellar polities (Pocket Empires) and World-States. They are most often intended for star system economic development and self defense.
