The Golf Ball class VIP Transport Scout is a TL–11 small scout ship with a variety of possible missions.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The basic design is a tail-sitting sphere hull. There are four decks. The top deck holds a small bridge and two staterooms. The second deck holds two more staterooms and the hold for the Air/raft and small cargo space and some of the engineering. The third deck holds a 20 ton reconfigurable space. The bottom deck holds the computer, and the primary engineering space. There is a single offset lift that connects the four decks and extends beyond the hull both above and below for access.

The ship as a basic design has a 20 ton cargo space that can be re-configured as needed. The four variants are:

  • Cargo carrier: The cargo space is simply a 20 ton cargo deck with a large cargo door
  • Passenger carrier: The space is taken by 4 staterooms and a 4 ton lounge space, used for VIP transport.
  • Fuel space: The cargo space is filled with an additional 20 tons of fuel, giving the ship a 2 jump-2 range.
  • Scout : The space is filled with mission specific
