The Pallad class Asteroid Scout is a TL–15 armed Asteroid Scout serving with the 112th Fleet.

Description[edit]

This buffered asteroid has thick natural armor, which shields it from background radiation. Manufactured at TL–15 in small numbers, this vessel is designed to blend in and hide. Its Model/5 ship computer features several ECM and evasion programs. It is capable of Jump-3 and has 2 Gs acceleration, but no agility. It is unstreamlined and can't scoop its own fuel, but has its own on board fuel purification system. It carries two masked turrets; a triple beam laser turret and a triple missile turret, for self defense.

It has a crew of 5.

History & Background[edit]

This design is built at Pallad (Old Expanses 1401) to operate with the 112th Fleet in service in the Quinoid Subsector's many asteroid belts. In Service: 40.
