The Old Expanses Sector is an area of old settlement with a long history of both Vilani and Terran societies. Rich trade with the Hivers has put the area back on the map.
- In addition to the subsector fleets, the Old Expanses sector is protected by the 810th Fleet.
Description (Specifications)
Old Expanses Sector once existed at the edge of Ziru Sirka expansion before the Interstellar Wars redefined the local landscape. The two most obvious cultural influences came from the Terrans and the Vilani, but the Droyne very clearly have left their mark in the area as well. Oynprith slang words exist in both the local Anglic and Vilani dialects. Some cultural biologists also suspect a strong Hiver influence.

History & Background (Dossier)
Interstellar commerce is vital to the prosperity of the region and a number of Jump Bridge projects have been planned or already developed to bolster the sector economy. The area has several native sophont species and is known to take in refugees and settle them on less populous worlds. The megacorporations are increasingly investing in the area and financial trends predict massive growth.
