Ibaru Subsector is subsector A of Zarushagar Sector.
- It is an Imperial core region that has been settled for millennia.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Ibaru Subsector:
Astrographic Features[edit]
The subsector is a generally unremarkable area lying within the Imperial Core.
- It is a slightly above average stellar density region.
- The brightest star is the yellow giant primary of the Freeport system.
Stellar Distribution[edit]
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Ibaru Subsector, right:
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Economic Astrography[edit]
Corporations[edit]
Corporations and organizations active within the subsector include:
- Akagi Transport, a major transport and logistics corporation.
- Durdashilu Li, a sector-wide mining and manufacturing concern.

Trade Routes[edit]
A number of important trade routes lie within the region. High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels moving along them, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between their member worlds.
The Mains and Clusters that lie within the subsector are referred to as The Network.
- The region is part of the Ilelish Rimworlds, a multi-sector cultural and trading zone.
Gushemege Main[edit]
The Strela Cluster of the Gushemege Main occupies the center of the subsector.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)
- Worlds lying on the Main are highlighted in green.
Vilani Run[edit]
A branch of the Vilani Run lies along the trailing edge of the subsector. The Main is a trade route dating back millennia.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)
- Worlds lying on the Main are highlighted in green.
Zed Cluster[edit]
The Zed Cluster occupies the spinward-rimward corner of the subsector.
A basic chart of the Cluster is shown, right:
- Worlds within the Cluster are highlighted in tan.
Security & Defense[edit]
The worlds of the region are patrolled by the Imperial Navy. It defends Imperial territory and interests, suppresses piracy, and ensures trade and commerce.
- The Imperial 41st Fleet is active within the subsector.
- Imperial vessels may demand customs inspections.
World Listing[edit]
Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Ibaru Subsector is available.
- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
- Other sources may differ: some elements of the data may be contradictory or incorrect.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:
Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, may already be out of date.
- Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Two-thirds of the subsector's population is concentrated at Gishin. It has many developed worlds and significant local manufacturing and industry.
- Several ambitious nobles looking to expand the star ways with a jump bridge or two.
Several of the worlds in this subsector are noted for having "tent cities", an early terraforming technique for marginally habitable worlds.
The adopted homeworlds of the Tentrassi are located in Ibaru. The race's lore makes competing claims for the reason behind their exodus from a mysterious original homeworld. The Homeworld Mystery so consumes certain members of the race, that some band together to search for their origin, giving rise to nomad fleets.
Polity Listing[edit]
The following polities can be found within this subsector:
Other Powers[edit]
- Ziru Sirka (historical)
- Rule of Man (historical)
Military Forces[edit]
The Ibaru Subsector is defended by 41st Fleet.
