System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld
- x5 secondary rocky worlds (Zaklotak, Watok, Patlobat, Nakanto, and Mavoto)
- x4 gas giants (Bakap, Katlek, Maklob, and Navop)
Mainworld Data[edit]
Ilelish has a relatively slow rotation period: one local day is equivalent to 36.5 standard hours.
- Geological and geomagnetic evidence suggests that in the ancient past the world rotated far more slowly.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Ilelish is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Ilelish has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Ilelish has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Satellites[edit]
Ilelish has a single moon, named Komboko (diameter 2,293 kilometers).
- Geological and hydrological evidence strongly suggests that the moon was placed in orbit around the world in the ancient past.
- It has an elliptical orbit, swinging out towards the star and then circling back in again.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)

Species are divided into three main groups -- true vertebrates, pseudo-vertebrates and invertebrates. Megafauna is common.
- Aginkam: Highly successful true vertebrate predators
- Gagluki: Sessile tree-like pseudo-vertebrates found in the forested savannahs
- Keshim: Large solo apex predators of the forested savannahs. A true vertebrate, one of the few Ilelish predators which is bipedal
- Migukas: Descendants of the aginkam and the first species domesticated by prehistoric Suerrat
- Nishma: Pseudo-vertebrate megafauna herbivores which dwell on the forested savannahs
- Shudu: A smaller species of nishma, found in semi-tropical rivers and wetlands
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Ilelish is the homeworld of the Suerrat, a minor human race. The ancestral Suerrat were transported to Ilelish by the Ancients, and were well adapted to their new homeworld’s lush equatorial forests. The world is considered by many to be an Ancients site and many xeno-archaeologists have been busy unearthing remains and artifacts of what some conjecture was a battlefield during the Final War.
- While this theory is popular with many, there is still considerable dissent within the academic community.
- There is evidence of Droyne having once been present on the world.
The world's name comes from the Na'ans language of the Suerrat.
The Suerrat prospered and expanded, eventually developing sub-light drives and colonizing nearby worlds, and had established a small interstellar state by the time they were contacted by the Vilani during the Ziru Sirka period. Ilelish was conquered during the Consolidation Wars and the Suerrat became a grudging subject race to the Vilani. The Suerrat finally revolted in the late Interstellar Wars period, following the Battle of Three Suns (-2224): their uprising is often seen as one of the final blows to the First Imperium.
Following the Long Night Ilelish was swiftly absorbed by the growing Third Imperium and became the sector capital.
- The Ilelish Revolt (418-435) was a popular independence movement that began on Ilelish, but rapidly spread to other high population worlds. The region affected by the Revolt had been going through an economic depression, and it was felt that the Imperium was more interested in conquering new worlds than in supporting the worlds it already had.
- Worlds in Ilelish sector petitioned the Emperor to establish an autonomous district, on the model of the League of Antares, but the Emperor refused. Following this, Ilelish and several other worlds seceded. The Imperium defeated the revolt, essentially by encircling it, containing it, and squeezing. To create an example, the Emperor ordered the Imperial Navy to sterilize a large portion of the world.
- In 435, the Imperium mandated the evacuation of the entire population residing within the lush equatorial zones, then scrubbed the zones of their flora and fauna. It still bears the scars to this day: seven hundred years later, the equatorial zone of llelish remains a sterile desert.
Llelish Interstellar, the leading media corporation within Ilelish Sector, maintains facilities and offices on the world.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Ilelish has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
Several large and well-equipped spaceports located in the larger cities make up for the shortfall of a missing starport of any note.
World Population (P)[edit]
Ilelish has a population of 20,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- The population almost entirely consists of Suerrat.
Ilelish is the homeworld of the Suerrat.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The following languages are most typically heard:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Na'ans: The most widely spoken Suerrat language.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Yaudal: A commonly spoken Suerrat language.
Urbanization[edit]
Suerrat cities are very crowded. Suerrat populations are at a density where other species find the mental health of the inhabitants deteriorates; by contrast, Suerrat thrive in these conditions.
- Suerrat like natural surroundings and will incorporate vegetation and even small animals into their urban areas, wherever possible.
- Transport is relegated to the lower levels of Suerrat cities. Where gravitics are unavailable, ground vehicles prevail. Roads are built intertwining between trees and below foot traffic.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Ilelish possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Ilelish is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy, and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. This ruling bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucractic apparatus or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence, like the military.
- The capital city of Ilelish is Anitarra. The fomer capital, Masakes, was abandoned and destroyed following the Ilelish Revolt.
Ilelish is also part of the Suerrat Cultural Region. The Suerrat United Worlds Council is funded through payments of all member worlds, calculated based on each world's population and economic wealth; it also receives voluntary donations from large organisations and businesses, both within and without the cultural zone.
World Law (L)[edit]
Ilelish has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Machine guns, other automatic weapons, portable energy weapons, and other military weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]
Ilelish, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdom of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight, the Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial count.
- See: Nobles of Ilelish
Military[edit]
For peacekeeping purposes, the Suerrat United Worlds Council can request troops and vessels volunteered from member worlds to be deployed under its purview, but only within the boundaries of the Suerrat Cultural Region.
The largest vessel in the Ilelish fleet is Tuli'eii Ilelish, an ancient Inukerku-class light cruiser purchased from the Imperial Navy when it was superseded by more advanced vessels.
