Subsector E of Dagudashaag Sector.
Shallows Subsector is important from the point of view of strategic communications, as the most direct link between the Vilani Main and the Medurma Main. The Jump-two bridge between Amigu and Unlshplir is of strategic importance to the Third Imperium.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Shallows Subsector is defended by 50th Fleet.
Astrographic Features & Trade Routes: 1105[edit]
The following astrographic features, trade routes, mains, clusters, and traces can be found within this area:
Astrographical:
Socio-Political:
The Dagudashaag Main[edit]
The subsector's rimward and trailing worlds are part of the Dagudashaag Main.
- The rimward worlds belong to the Zeda Cluster, a named region of the larger main.
In Shallows, the Dagudashaag Main has jump-2 access to the Vilani Main.
The Vilani Main[edit]
The Vilani Main, the mighty trade artery of the Ziru Sirka, extends into the subsector from spinward.
- One local region of the main, at the coreward border of Shallows, is part of the Mimu Branch.
- High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.
A basic chart of the Main is shown, right:
Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]
Shallows, subsector E of Dagudashaag, contains 40 worlds with an estimated combined population of 120 billion, a per capita income of Cr14,113, and a total economy of BCr1,693,632. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr7,768 through 38 starports (6 Class A, 10 Class B, 16 Class C, 6 Class D) employing 1,160,420 people. Driving this interstellar trade are six Agricultural (Ag) worlds, seven Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, eight Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Shallows maintain 15 Scout bases, eight Naval bases, and one Way station. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Upag (Dagudashaag 0111).
Shallows, subsector E of Dagudashaag, contains 58 stars and 441 identified planets; 24 monostellar systems, 14 binary systems, two trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 29 of the 40 systems (72%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, two Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, eight Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Shallows has an estimated population of 120 billion distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, seven Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 18 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Upag (Dagudashaag 0111). The population consists primarily of 6 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Third Imperium[edit]
The Third Imperium has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 120 billion, a per capita income of Cr14,113, and a total economy of BCr1,693,632. The governments in the Third Imperium maintain 15 Scout bases, eight Naval bases, and one Way station within the subsector. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Upag (Dagudashaag 0111).
The Third Imperium has an estimated population of 120 billion within the subsector, distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, seven Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 18 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Upag (Dagudashaag 0111). The population consists primarily of 6 sophont groups including one native sophont.
- The Third Imperium subsector capital of Shallows is Diishalum (Dagudashaag 0714).
