Khikaeg is a rich and agricultural production world with a shirt-sleeve atmosphere and a balance of available surface water. The system supports a population in the millions of sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world contains an archaeological site with artifacts suspected to be from the now-vanished Ancients. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Shallows Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Khikaeg, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and the fiefdom of a baron. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Shagmani.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

Khikaeg is located on the Vilani Main.

Khikaeg has a solitary primary star.

History and background[edit]

Carlsbrew Distillers.jpg

Khikaeg is the home to Carlsbrew Distillers, voted number 1 in Dagudashaag Sector by the Imperial Brewer's Guild for the last 20 years. The Khikaeg population is primarily composed of Carlsbrew employees and independent farmers who cultivate a wide range of mutated hops, malts and barleys used in brewing some of the many alcoholic beverages sold by the Company. Carlsbrew also owns several other breweries throughout Dagudashaag and release their produce under several trade names.

Khikaegans are, for the most part, members of the Universal Church of God, though they interpret their religion more liberally than is generally found elsewhere in the sector, a fact that has caused the local Church hierarchy a great deal of concern.

Point of Interest: Ancients Site[edit]

Records from the Second Imperium state that this world contained an Ancients archaeological site.

World Starport[edit]

Khikaeg has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)[edit]

Khikaeg has a population of 5,000,000 sophonts (millions).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

World Technology Level[edit]

Khikaeg possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.

World Government[edit]

Khikaeg is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
