Cleci has a breathable, habitable atmosphere and a reasonable amount of surface water. The system supports a population in the hundreds of thousands of sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Shallows Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Cleci, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Daluu As.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]

Cleci is a member of the Dagudashaag Main. It is part of the sub-region known as the Zeda Cluster.

Stellar Data[edit]

Mainworld Data[edit]

'Cleci' means Large Dry in Klatha'sh. The world lives up to its name, with the only free standing water found in a scattered band of lakes in the southern hemisphere.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Cleci is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Cleci has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Cleci has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.

Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]

History and Background[edit]

A sect of Innocentine monks is reputed to wander the vast deserts of this world. When they leave the monastic enclave at the starport, they take vows of silence, isolation and poverty, prior to walking into the desert and out of contact with everyone. It is assumed that they die but local legends proclaim otherwise.

The rumors are heightened as the system's Scout Base has never allowed their planetary NAS scans to be viewed by the public or the planetary government. This has evoked a feeling of low-grade paranoia in regard to what the monks and scouts may be involved in out in the desert. Due to the hostility, most scouts spend very little time on this world.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Cleci has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)[edit]

Cleci has a population of 200,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

World Demographics[edit]

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The following languages are among the most commonly used here:

Urbanization[edit]

Ziadd structures tend to be solid and blocky and are usually heavily decorated. Many fly flags and banners declaring allegiance and status.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Cleci possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government[edit]

Cleci is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

World Law (L)[edit]

Cleci has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
