Khipge Subsector is subsector F of Zarushagar Sector.
- It is an Imperial core region that has been settled for millennia.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Khipge Subsector:
Astrographic Features[edit]
The subsector is a generally unremarkable area lying within the Imperial Core.
- It is an average stellar density region.
- The brightest star is the orange giant primary of the Deyis II system.
Stellar Distribution[edit]
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Khipge Subsector, right:
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Economic Astrography[edit]
Corporations[edit]
Corporations and organizations active within the subsector include:
- Akagi Transport, a major transport and logistics corporation.
- General Products, an Imperial megacorporation involved in heavy industry and manufacturing.
- Hortalez et Cie, an Imperial megacorporation specializing in banking and finance.
- Ling Standard Products, an Imperial megacorporation engaged in widescale resource extraction and processing.
- Makhidkarun, an Imperial megacorporation specializing in communications and entertainment.
- Naasirka, an Imperial megacorporation specializing in sensors, electronics, and robotics.
- Sharurshid, an Imperial megacorporation specializing in finance and commerce.
- SuSAG, an Imperial megacorporation specializing in commercial chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and genetic engineering.
- Tukera Lines, an Imperial megacorporation specializing in transport and logistics.
- Zirunkariish, a Vilani megacorporation specializing in investment, finance, and insurance.
Trade Routes[edit]
A number of important trade routes lie within the region. High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels moving along them, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between their member worlds.
The Mains and Clusters that lie within the subsector are referred to as The Network.
Liasdi Main[edit]
The Ishag Arm of the Liasdi Main lies within the rimward part of the subsector.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map).
- Worlds on the Main are highlighted in green.
Vilani Run[edit]
The Vilani Run includes a few worlds in the coreward part of the subsector. It is a trade route dating back millennia.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)
- Worlds lying on the Main are highlighted in green.
Khipge Line[edit]
The Khipge Line is a cluster named for the subsector and occupying the coreward-trailing part of it.
A basic chart of the Khipge Line is shown, right:
- Worlds within the Line are highlighted in tan.
Iimii Cluster[edit]
The Iimii Cluster lies along the spinward edge of the subsector. It is named for the Iimii system.
A basic chart of the Cluster is shown, right:
- Worlds within the Cluster are highlighted in tan.
Security & Defense[edit]
The worlds of the region are patrolled by the Imperial Navy. It defends Imperial territory and interests, suppresses piracy, and ensures trade and commerce.
- The Imperial 9th Fleet is active within the subsector.
- Imperial vessels may demand customs inspections.
There are eight naval bases and four scout bases within the subsector.
World Listing[edit]
Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Khipge Subsector is available.
- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
- Other sources may differ: some elements of the data may be contradictory or incorrect.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:
Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, may already be out of date.
- Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Of the subsector's billions of inhabitants, the vast majority inhabit Khipge, the namesake of the region.
The subsector is less cosmpoloitan than perhaps it should be. Darmine names are still evident in many systems but there are no significant Darmine populations here in the modern era. The Kebkh of Deyis, meanwhile, are all but extinct after their world was "scrubbed" by the Imperium in 501.
Polity Listing[edit]
The following polities can be found within this subsector:
Other Powers[edit]
- Darmine Space (historical)
- Ziru Sirka (historical)
- Rule of Man (historical)
Native Sophonts (NILs)[edit]
The following races (sophont species) are believed to have originated in this area:
- Kebkh of Deyis II (Minor Race): Almost extinct following the Imperial sterilization of their homeworld in 501.
Demographics[edit]
Significant populations of the following races (sophont species) reside within this area:
- Humaniti (Human races)
- Mixed heritage (Major Race): Widely spread across the region.
- Solomani (Major Race): Many genetically distinct individuals and communities.
- Vilani (Major Race): Many genetically distinct individuals and communities.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Anglic, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.

Subsector Summary[edit]
Khipge, subsector F of Zarushagar, contains 31 worlds with an estimated combined population of 10 billion, a per capita income of Cr3,566, and a total economy of BCr39,190. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr2,652 through 26 starports (6 Class A, 15 Class B, 3 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 450,335 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, four Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, four Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Khipge maintain eight Naval bases and five Scout bases. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 14 at Hirah (Zarushagar 0918), Odew (Zarushagar 1116), and Keeli-Ho (Zarushagar 1314).
Khipge, subsector F of Zarushagar, contains 38 stars and 348 identified planets; 24 monostellar systems, seven binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 27 of the 31 systems (87%) have native gas giants. There are two Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, nine Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, three Poor (Po) worlds, five Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Khipge has an estimated population of 10 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 13 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 12 Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Khipge (Zarushagar 0914). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group including one native sophont.
