Oasis Subsector is subsector L of Zarushagar Sector.
- It is an Imperial core region that has been settled for millennia.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Oasis Subsector:
Astrographic Features[edit]
The subsector is a generally unremarkable area lying within the Imperial Core.
- It is an average stellar density region.
- The brightest star is the orange bright giant primary of the Arising system.
Stellar Distribution[edit]
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Oasis Subsector, right:
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Commercial Data[edit]
Corporations[edit]
Corporations and organizations active within the subsector include:
- Akagi Transport, a major transport and logistics corporation.
- Ling Standard Products, an Imperial megacorporation engaged in resource extraction and processing across the sector.
- Naasirka, an Imperial megacorporation with long historical ties to the region and substantial interests within the sector.
- Tukera Lines, an Imperial megacorporation specializing in transport and logistics.
Trade Routes[edit]
A number of important trade routes lie within the region. High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels moving along them, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between their member worlds.
The Mains and Clusters that lie within the subsector are referred to as The Network.
The Greater Massilia Main[edit]
Several of the subsector's trailing worlds are located on the Greater Massilia Main.
This is a major trade route lying along the trailing edge of Zarushagar Sector and the spinward edge of Massilia Sector.
- It has 128 member systems: 64 of these lie within Zarushagar and 64 lie within Massilia.
- The Main is host to four subsector capitals, two in each sector.
- Its worlds in Oasis Subsector are part of the Huon Arm, a named region of the larger main.

- Worlds on the Main are highlighted in green.
The Rhamsteppe-Mongrebi Main[edit]
A particular branch of the Main extending into this subsector is named, simply, the Oasis Cluster.
- The Cluster includes Zarushagar Sector's Research Station Beta, at Dothama.
A basic chart of the Main is shown, right:
- Worlds on the Main are highlighted in green.
Provalan Cluster[edit]
The Provalan Cluster lies along the spinward edge of the subsector.
A basic chart of the Cluster is shown, right:
- Worlds within the cluster are highlighted in tan.
Alakar Trace[edit]
The Alakar Trace lies within the center of the subsector. It contains Peolanti, the homeworld of the Peth.
A basic chart of the Trace is shown, right:
- Worlds within the Trace are highlighted in brown.
World Listing[edit]
Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Oasis Subsector is available.
- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
- Other sources may differ: some elements of the data may be contradictory or incorrect.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:
Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, may already be out of date.
- Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Many worlds in the Oasis and Wolf subsectors were part of the historical Duchy of Oasis during the Long Night.
Polity Listing[edit]
The following polities can be found within this subsector:
Other Powers[edit]
- Duchy of Oasis (historical)

Subsector Summary[edit]
Oasis, subsector L of Zarushagar, contains 34 worlds with an estimated combined population of 73 billion, a per capita income of Cr6,480, and a total economy of BCr477,806. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr8,661 through 28 starports (5 Class A, 19 Class B, 3 Class C, 1 Class D) employing 1,412,735 people. Driving this interstellar trade are ten Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, five Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, seven Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Oasis maintain seven Naval bases and four Scout bases. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 8 and 12). The highest technology level is 13 at Dothama (Zarushagar 2928) and Isaji (Zarushagar 3128).
Oasis, subsector L of Zarushagar, contains 47 stars and 378 identified planets; 22 monostellar systems, 11 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 31 of the 34 systems (91%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, six Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, six Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Oasis has an estimated population of 73 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, eight Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 20 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Irap (Zarushagar 2630). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including one native sophont.
