  • The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
  • This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
  • This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
  • Most observers think that the planet's economy and population will prosper in the near future barring outside forces.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Oasis Subsector of Zarushagar Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
  • It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
  • This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
  • It lies on the Huon Arm of the Greater Massilia Main.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Nuaimy is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Nuaimy has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Nuaimy has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.

Nuaimy is a Puzzle World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.

  • Visitors are advised to act with caution.

It lies on the Huon Arm, the rimward branch of the Greater Massilia Main.

The world is almost entirely covered by deep water oceans which contain a huge variety of marine life.

  • The inhabitants are mainly engaged in the production and export of food products: one of the most well-known is Shifu, made from a local aquatic lifeform.
  • Mineral extraction from seawater is the other major industry.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Nuaimy has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Nuaimy has a population of 300,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).

Urbanization[edit]

Population centers are located on massive city-ships and their attendant watercraft, the few islands and archipelagos that poke above the surface of the sea, and on the ocean floor.

Nuaimy possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Nuaimy is governed by a Non-charismatic Dictatorship. This is a continuation of the charismatic dictatorship, where the original leadership has died or retired and been replaced by allies or protégés. The justifications for the original change in government remain as well as the assertion of rights to rule.

Nuaimy is under the nominal control of the Admiral, a ruler who is never publicly seen, instead issuing edicts and proclamations. Many believe him to be a fictional figurehead.

The population is divided into four major and six minor rival factions, based around huge city-ships and control of islands. Each faction is headed by a Commodore appointed by the Admiral.

World Law (L)[edit]

Nuaimy has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. Most worlds with this law level may be an Amber Zone or Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). All aspects of life rigidly controlled. There is no difference between the police and the military. This world is a full-fledged police state. Oppression is legalized, though not routine.

Nuaimy, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdoms of two members of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
