Huecar is home to a diverse type of both flora and fauna, all of which seem to descend from Terran or Villani stock, albeit from hundred of thousands of year ago. Almost every species on the world is edible by most sophonts; travelling vargr should consult with a local physician.

The high carbon-dioxide content and warm climate make for a continual growing season. Plants grow very quickly on Huecar, and the trees are truly gigantic.

World Starport

Huecar has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

The Heucar starport system is a major hub for business dealing, and provides excellent accommodations for travellers. The Travellers Aid Society maintains an advanced hostel on Ring B of the downport. It is highly recommended that all travellers consult and coordinate with TAS before considering venturing outside the Starport system.

All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Huecar leadership is made of "true sons of the Church" who have used everything in their power to make the population subjugate to the wisdom of the Holyman. They consider themselves to be the true inheritors of that wisdom, and look down on the liberal leadership of Quesada.

The government is vigilant, all-seeing, and ever-ready to discipline wrong doers. Mercy is always present...in some amount...particularly to those who tithe sincerely.

The Church has a degree requiring a certain level of "food purity" which dictates how food can be sourced, slaughtered, and prepared. It also encourages the use of local spices and flavours, and sponsors an almost continual selection of cooking and baking contests and festivals. The food here may well be worth having to mind your manners.

Urban centers have been strategically spaced and constructed using Tech-13/14 level techniques, making them flexible, efficient, comfortable, and very secure.
