Subsector P of Dagudashaag Sector.
The Laraa Subsector is a primary agricultural region, with six agricultural worlds within its bounds.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Laraa Subsector is defended by 230th Fleet.
Much of the agriproduct surplus is shipped along the Sylean Main to markets in the Core Sector. The region is fairly densely populated, with four high population worlds.
Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]
Laraa, subsector P of Dagudashaag, contains 37 worlds with an estimated combined population of 78 billion, a per capita income of Cr8,012, and a total economy of BCr630,243. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr2,106 through 36 starports (5 Class A, 10 Class B, 16 Class C, 5 Class D) employing 347,840 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, four Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Laraa maintain 17 Scout bases and six Naval bases. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Uumirsa (Dagudashaag 3032) and Newport (Dagudashaag 3139).
Laraa, subsector P of Dagudashaag, contains 51 stars and 396 identified planets; 23 monostellar systems, 14 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 34 of the 37 systems (91%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, one Desert (De) world, one Garden (Ga) world, two Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, seven Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Laraa has an estimated population of 78 billion distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 16 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, ten Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Shardi (Dagudashaag 3236). The population consists primarily of 7 sophont groups including two native sophonts.

Third Imperium[edit]
The Third Imperium has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 78 billion, a per capita income of Cr8,012, and a total economy of BCr630,243. The governments in the Third Imperium maintain 17 Scout bases and six Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Uumirsa (Dagudashaag 3032) and Newport (Dagudashaag 3139).
The Third Imperium has an estimated population of 78 billion within the subsector, distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 16 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, ten Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Shardi (Dagudashaag 3236). The population consists primarily of 7 sophont groups including two native sophonts.
- The Third Imperium subsector capital of Laraa is Uumirsa (Dagudashaag 3032).
Astrographic Features & Trade Routes: 1105[edit]
The following astrographic features, trade routes, mains, clusters, and traces can be found within this area:
- Sylean Main
- Kadushi Cluster (local region of the Laraa Main)
- Uumirsa Trail
Sylean Main[edit]
A spinward branch of the Sylean Main defines much of Laraa Subsector.
The branch extending into Laraa is known as the Laraa Main; more specifically, the member worlds found here are known locally as the Kadushi Cluster, a vaguely but not entirely synonymous grouping.
A basic chart of the Sylean Main is depicted, right:

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The subsector is named for the world that served as its capital and communications hub during the First Imperium. Laraa, however, is no longer a significant world.
The Kadushi Cluster, in the rimward half of the of the subsector, is an interesting example of economic cooperation. Kakar, Kadushi, and Shardi have pooled their resources to form a government sponsored shipping company, Cluster Cargo Carriers. CCC specializes in transporting bulk freight, and is now considered to be serious competition for Tukera Lines in the area.
Polity Listing: 1105[edit]
The following polities can be found within this subsector:
- Independent Powers (Pocket Empires)
- None
- Non-Aligned Powers (World-States)
- None
- Other Powers
- None
- Solomani Confederation (Solomani powers)
- None
- Third Imperium (Imperial powers)
- Followers of Khaanii (defunct, at least officially)
- LifeTech Corporation
- Various member systems and worlds.
Native Sophonts (NILs): 1105[edit]
The following races (sophont species) are believed to have originated in this area:
- Humaniti (Human races)
- None
- Non-Human Races
- Mikhidian (on the verge of sophoncy)
Demographics[edit]
Significant populations of the following races reside within this area:
- Humaniti (Human races)
- Geonee: A number of enclaves have been established on the more travelled worlds of the region.
- Solomani (Major Race)
- Vilani (Major Race)
- Non-Human Races
- Bwaps
- Droyne (Major Race)
- Mikhidians
- M'nengi: The only known population, though they are thought to originate in Zarushagar Sector.
- Terragens (Non-human Terran races)
- None.
Linguistic Topography: 1105[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly used within this astrographic region:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Göheimsan: A ceremonial language used by the Scanian culture; apparently descended from 22nd Century Terran Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian.
- Irkonee: The predominate language of the Geonee.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Wawa-pakekeke-wawa: The common, precise and bureaucratic language of the Bwaps. Spoken on Bwap-dominated planets and by government functionaries on any world lucky enough to retain a dedicated Bwap workforce.
Historical Eras[edit]
Major Historical Events Timeline: 1116[edit]
These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this area:
- 102-105: The M'nengi attack several worlds, before being defeated and quarantined by the Imperial Navy.
