Lumzashgu is a rich world with a shirt-sleeve atmosphere and a balance of available surface water. The system supports a population in the 100s of millions, which makes it too urbanized to be an agricultural world. This world is designated an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Lumzashgu, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet, and the fiefdoms of a baron and a viscount. All four are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. 100% of the world's population is the Minor Race Bwap. During the Long Night this world was named Ashagki.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]

History and Background[edit]

This was the first Bwap world ever colonized in Dagudashaag. Lumzashgu's governmental 'compromises' served as the original model for later colonies, particular Arlu (Dagudashaag 1339). The Bwap cities (Pods) were originally established along the tropical reefs but increased population and Bwap architectural style has forced the cities to continue their expansion under the sea.

Although each individual Bwap community is actually a 'religious dictatorship', each pod sends a representative to the planetary bureaucracy, developed to ease relations with the Imperium. Law level refers to those areas accessible to non-Bwaps.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Lumzashgu has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The following languages are among the most commonly used here:

  • Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Imperium.
  • Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Imperium.
  • Wawa-pakekeke-wawa: The common, precise and bureaucratic language of the Bwaps.

World Culture[edit]

Bwaps organise themselves into crèches. The crèche is where Bwaps will select a mate, where the eggs will be guarded and tended to, and where the young will be educated by the Satha-a-atta-wapawab (Elders of the Creche). The crèche is also the center of Bwap spirituality, and the focus point of study of the Wapawab (Tree of Life).
