Wasat is a non-agricultural, pre-industrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- Its economy and population are slowly growing and living conditions are expected to improve in the near future barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Wovoka Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- It is part of the Palermo Cluster.
- 100% of the population is composed of Selenites.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[2][edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Wasat is a trinary star system.
- The primary is an expanding white subgiant named Wasat, or δ Geminorum A / Delta Geminorum A.
- The secondary is an orange main sequence named δ Geminorum B / Delta Geminorum B.
- The tertiary is an orange main sequence named δ Geminorum C / Delta Geminorum C.
Wasat has three stars in the star system. δ Geminorum A

Notes[edit]
The primary-secondary binary pair have an average separation of 4.9 AU.
- The secondary has an orbital period around the primary of 6.1 standard years.
The tertiary star orbits the primary-secondary binary pair at an average distance of 176 AU.
- It has an orbital period around the pair of 1,200 standard years.
System Data[edit]
The Wasat system contains three stars; only the secondary and tertiary stars retain families of planets.
Orange K3 V secondary star:
- Haddit (X200000-0) (fragmenting world)
- Hadditnext (X31000-0) (geologically unstable world)
- Core (X7A1000-0): the core of a former gas giant world that has been stripped of its massive hydrogen atmosphere by stellar energy radiating from the giant primary star.
- The world is owned by High-Gravity Mining Services Incorporated, a small and very specialist outfit with no other holdings.
- Wasat (C100756-C) (designated the mainworld).
- Arcomm (Small Gas Giant)
- Neradi (X2AA000-0)
- Talsk (X300000-0)
Orange K6 V tertiary star:
- C-Inner (Small Gas Giant)
- C-Belt (X000000-0)
- C-Outer (Small Gas Giant)
- C-Terrestrial (X811000-0)
Mainworld Data[edit]
Wasat orbits towards the outer edge of the secondary star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Wasat is a Small World between 900km and 2,400km in diameter. The world has very low gravity between 0.05G and 0.09G. The horizon will appear about 2km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Wasat has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Wasat has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Wasat is a member of the Palermo Cluster, a small cluster and minor trade route lying close to the border with the Solomani Rim.
The system's expanding primary star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
The population almost entirely consists of Selenites, a Variant Human Race engineered to live in low gravity environments.
Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Wasat has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
The downport is constructed in an artificial cavern, linked to others by road and light rail networks that run through spacious tunnels.
World Population (P)[edit]
Wasat has a population of 70,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- The population almost entirely consists of Selenites, genetically engineered Variant Human Race.
Urbanization[edit]
Cities include:
- Wasat City: The capital and the largest settlement on the planet, home to 20 million people.
- Deep Raiawa, situated at the bottom of an immense canyon over three kilometers from the surface. It is an industrial and scientific center.
- Adcota, situated in a mountain range of the same name.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Confederation.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Wasat possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government (G)[edit]
Wasat is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
Each city's major officials in charge of a particular function elect a president among themselves, who in turn chooses a deputy to send to the world governing council. This council consists of the deputies from all cities plus the overall heads of critical functions, including offworld commerce, power generation, and medical services.
World Law (L)[edit]
Wasat has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 1 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: A (abundant)
- Labor: 6 (millions)
- Infrastructure: 3 (very limited)
- Efficiency: +3 (improved)
World Culture[edit]
Most Selenites are deeply uncomfortable outside an environment that can be neatly controlled. Being outdoors on a 'wild' planet is unsettling to them, and sudden rain or even a strong gust of wind might provoke panicked demands for reassurance.
- Heterogenity: C (fragmented)
- Acceptance: 8 (friendly)
- Strangeness: A (incomprehensible)
- Symbols: 9 (somewhat abstract)
