Ea Subsector houses two substantial human states, separated by a scattered band of unclaimed independent worlds.
- The Grand Duchy of Marlheim is a tightly controlled, expansionistic, totalitarian state.
- The Confederation of Duncinae is a less restrictive interstellar community with close ties to the Principality of Caledon to coreward.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
This subsector is part of the region of Reaver's Deep that early Aslan explorers named Aoreriyya. Literally translated, this means something like "new garden" (or "new veldt"), from the Trokh "aor" (new), and "eriyya" (pleasant lands); the region was so called because of the relative abundance of worlds with climates and ecosystems well-suited to Aslan (and Human, as it happened) habitation.
Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]
Ea, subsector J of Reaver's Deep, contains 26 worlds with an estimated combined population of 6 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,617, and a total economy of BCr30,198. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr916 through 20 starports (2 Class A, 4 Class B, 12 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 214,880 people. Driving this interstellar trade are 12 Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, eight Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Ea maintain nine Military bases, five Naval bases, and one Scout base. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 5 and 10). The highest technology level is 12 at Kingston (Reaver's Deep 1428).
Ea, subsector J of Reaver's Deep, contains 36 stars and 316 identified planets; 16 monostellar systems, ten binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 26 of the 26 systems (100%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, five Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.
Ea has an estimated population of 6 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 13 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Marlheim (Reaver's Deep 1230) and Kingston (Reaver's Deep 1428). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including two native sophonts.

Non-Aligned, Human-dominated[edit]
There are 11 Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Ea with an estimated combined population of 2 billion.
Confederation of Duncinae[edit]
The Confederation of Duncinae has jurisdiction over seven worlds in the subsector, with an estimated combined population of 145 million, a per capita income of Cr3,972, and a total economy of BCr576. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr24 through 7 starports (1 Class A, 1 Class B, 5 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 21,260 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in the Confederation of Duncinae maintain five Military bases and two Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 10). The highest technology level is 11 at Duncinae (Reaver's Deep 1624).
The Confederation of Duncinae has an estimated population of 145 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, three Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Invermory (Reaver's Deep 1622), Vincit (Reaver's Deep 1327), Just (Reaver's Deep 1625), and Fulton (Reaver's Deep 1524). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.
- The capital of the Confederation of Duncinae is Duncinae (Reaver's Deep 1624).
Grand Duchy of Marlheim[edit]
The Grand Duchy of Marlheim has jurisdiction over six worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 3 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,926, and a total economy of BCr16,996. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr473 through 6 starports (1 Class A, 1 Class B, 4 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 113,345 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in the Grand Duchy of Marlheim maintain three Military bases, and two Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 10). The highest technology level is 11 at Marlheim (Reaver's Deep 1230).
The Grand Duchy of Marlheim has an estimated population of 3 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, one Moderate population (Ph) world, two Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Marlheim (Reaver's Deep 1230). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.
- The capital of the Grand Duchy of Marlheim is Marlheim (Reaver's Deep 1230).
Client state, Third Imperium[edit]
The Client states of the Third Imperium in Ea encompass one world with an estimated population of 2 million.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Originally explored by Aslan traders and clan scouts looking for new territory, the Ea subsector has been the scene of numerous confrontations between humans and Aslan in competition for the same real estate.
- During the era of the Reaver Warlords, several small human states sprang up here; as a result competition is stiff.
Polity Listing: 1105[edit]
The following polities can be found within this subsector:
- Aslan Hierate (Aslan powers)
- None
- Independent Powers (Pocket Empires)
- Non-Aligned Powers (World-States)
- Non-Aligned (Aslan-dominated)
- Non-Aligned (Human-dominated)

Demographics: 1105[edit]
Significant populations of the following races (sophont species) reside within this area:
- Humaniti (Human races)
- Iltharan (Tring ethnic group, K'Tring culture, on Gaajpadge)
- Solomani (Major Race)
- Vilani (Major Race)
Linguistic Topography: 1116[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly encountered in this astrographic region:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium and an official language of the Solomani Confederation.
- Caledonian Anglic; a variant used in much of Reaver's Deep.
- Aslanic: A patois of the Aslan's dominant language of Trokh, utilising Trokh grammar and morphology but with phonology more suited to Human vocalisation. Commonly used by Human societies that have long had contact and exchange with Aslan, noticeably those aided and uplifted by Aslan during the Long Night.
- Common Iltharan: The predominate language of the Iltharan people; although less widespread than it once was, its influence is apparent across several subsectors.
- Herloohkta: The native language of Roakhoi. It is of Aslan origin with considerable modifications and corruptions caused by Human influences and the long isolation of the world.
- J'aadje languages
- Kdaar: A language of the Grand Duchy of Marlheim,
- Platt -- itself influenced by languages including Trokh -- combined with a form of Reavers Cant to produce Kdaar; the modern version of which, deliberately engineered by the totalitarian Marlheim government, is Marldaar.
- Reavers Cant: Any of a number of dialects developed by reaver parties and pirate nations during the Long Night.
- In some systems -- those of the Grand Duchy of Marlheim being a major example -- Reavers Cant has developed into official or semi-official state languages.
- Trokh: The common language of Aslan who conform to the modern Aslan monoculture established after the Aslan Cultural Purge.
Economic[edit]
Corporations operating here include:
- Caledon Ventures: A trading post has been established on Dunmarrow from which trade pioneering teams have opened up markets previously monopolised by Aslan trading companies.
- Farstar Publishing (based on Marlheim)
- Fulton Metals
- Khtyuwi (of Clan Yehaso)
