Subsector F of the Vanguard Reaches Sector.
- Note: Diadem is also an Old Sword Worlder name for the Glisten subsector in the Spinward Marches.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Diadem Subsector is noted for the Diadem Main, and the rimward-spinward void region known as the Diadem Rift.
Worlds in this subsector cooperate loosely as part of the Diadem Trade League.
Diadem Subsector is serviced by Portmanteau Shipping Services.
Summary[edit]
Diadem, subsector F of Vanguard Reaches, contains 17 worlds with an estimated combined population of 5.8 billion. These worlds originate an interstellar trade through 16 starports (2 Class A, 5 Class B, 6 Class C, 3 Class D). Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, five Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Diadem maintain two Exploration bases, two Naval bases, one Military base, and one Clan base. The highest technology level is 13 at Nashua (Vanguard Reaches 1415).
Diadem, subsector F of Vanguard Reaches, contains 24 stars; 10 monostellar systems, 7 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 14 of the 17 systems have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, one Poor (Po) world, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.
Diadem has an estimated population of 5.8 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, four Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, three Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Traxler (Vanguard Reaches 114), Castrum (Vanguard Reaches 1215), and Tiffanye (Vanguard Reaches 1619). The population consists primarily of 3 sophont groups.

Non-Aligned, Human-dominated[edit]
There are 15 Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Diadem.
Aslan[edit]
An independent Aslan clan has jurisdiction over one world in Diadem with an estimated population of 2 million. They maintain one Clan base.
Hyperion League[edit]
The Hyperion League has jurisdiction over one world in the subsector with an estimated population of 20 million. The Hyperion League maintains one Naval base and one Military base within the subsector.
World Listing[edit]
Astrography[edit]
The namesake Diadem Rift is partially located in this subsector.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Diadem Trade Council was first established at Baixing in 984. The Council met every standard year at Baixing, accomplishing little from a policy standpoint.
The growing power of the Hyperion League led to renewed interest in at least discussing a more coordinated trade effort. The resulting Conference of Baixing in 1054 led to the formation of the Diadem Trade League.
New Era[edit]
There was little in this subsector to excite or attract. While a number of industrial worlds did emerge, they were considered to be unfortunate accidents rather than deliberate development. All of this changed with the arrival of Aslan Ihatei in the neighboring Old Colonies subsector, just years before the Imperial Civil War. A brief economic boom resulted from trade with the new colonies, creating an improvement in local conditions. And when the war broke out, the locals profited handsomely from the influx of Corellan League military and privateers sent here to prevent further ihatei advances. The Gold Road was wealth du jour, after the Collapse, bringing a steady stream of foreign merchants through the subsector. It also brought an influx in organized crime, a quiet power struggle between the Corellans and feuding Aslan clans, and no small amount of petty intrigue.
