Augurgh is a non-agricultural and nonindustrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.

  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
  • It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
  • It has few prospects for economic development.
  • It is a member of the United Followers of Augurgh in the Aegaek Subsector of Tuglikki Sector.
  • This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
  • This world is also the overall capital of an interstellar government with the massive extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
  • This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
  • This world was until recently called Khoufedksuzorz.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Augurgh is a binary star system.

  • The primary is a white main sequence named Ellaerz.
  • The secondary is a white dwarf stellar remnant named Ounaege.
    • It was a swollen, turbulent red giant just 30 million years ago: it went nova and all that now remains is its tiny hot core.
Augurgh has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Augurgh is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.

  • Augurgh rotates once every 60 days.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Augurgh has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Augurgh has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Augurgh is the birthplace of Augurgh, the founder and leader of the United Followers of Augurgh, reputedly born in a humble abode near the starport: the leadership of the government takes particular pride in this and have built a thriving tourist industry around it. Until 1099 the world was called khoufedksuzorz. In that year it was renamed in honour of its most famous son.[2]

It serves as the political capital of the United Followers of Augurgh. The commercial center of the polity is the world of Talon.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Augurgh has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • The world is host to a Vargr Naval Base.
  • Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.

World Population (P)[edit]

Augurgh has a population of 5,000,000 sophonts (millions).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
  • The population entirely consists of Vargr.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Augurgh possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Augurgh is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

World Military[edit]

It is a major base for the United Followers of Augurgh Navy. A permanent UFA garrison is maintained at the starport.

World Law (L)[edit]

Augurgh has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 1 (ordinary)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: A (abundant)
  • Labor: 5 (hundreds of thousands)
  • Infrastructure: 5 (limited)
  • Efficiency: -1 (average)

World Culture[edit]

  • Heterogenity: 4 (harmonious)
  • Acceptance: 7 (aloof)
  • Strangeness: 3 (somewhat typical)
  • Symbols: D (very abstract)

Family bonds tend to have greater importance than pack bonds within the Aekhu region. Siblings (sukagrra) often maintain life-long associations, especially when they're littermates (kagrra).

World Timeline[edit]

Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:

Circa 1200[3][edit]

The world became barren during the mid-1060s. It has many extremely advanced artifacts remaining on the surface.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Augurgh does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

The starport was attacked by Virus in 1143. The remains were destroyed in a strike by 61st Fleet in 1162.

World Demographics (P)[edit]

Augurgh is unpopulated.

  • The last remnants of the population died in the mid-1160s

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Augurgh has a die back Tech Level of TL–F.

  • The world has no functioning technological base.
  • There are extremely advanced artifacts remaining on the world.

Salvage

  • Remains on this world include processed raw materials, metals and alloys, complex components, and intact devices of all kinds.
    • These may be salvaged.
    • Some may have been contaminated by Virus.

World Government (G)[edit]

Augurgh has no government or ruling authority of any kind.

  • The balkanisation remained constant between 1105 until the mid-1160s: specific governments changed sizes, constitutions, and structure during this time.
  • Governmental authority ceased in the mid-1160s, when the world became barren.

World Law (L)[edit]

Augurgh has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
