Minazal is a non-agricultural, pre-industrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- Its economy and population are slowly growing and living conditions are expected to improve in the near future barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Subra Subsector of Neworld Sector.
- It orbits the system's secondary star.
- It is a member of the Belicheki Cluster.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Minazal is a trinary star system.
- The primary is a turbulent yellow giant.
- The secondary is a white main sequence.
- The tertiary is a blue-white main sequence.
Epsilon Hydrae (Minazal III) has three stars in the star system. Ashlesha (Epsilon Hydrae A)

It has a very close companion (9.9047 day-orbit).
Notes[edit]
The primary-secondary binary pair have an average separation of 16 AU.
- The secondary has an orbital period around the primary of 30 standard years.
The tertiary star orbits the primary-secondary binary pair at an average distance of 220 AU.
- It has an orbital period around the pair of 1,300 standard years.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld, orbiting the secondary star.
- x9 secondary rocky worlds. Three orbit the secondary star, six orbit the tertiary star
- x1 planetoid belt, orbiting the primary star.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Minazal orbits at the outer edge of the secondary star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Minazal is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Minazal has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Minazal has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Minazal is a member of the Belicheki Cluster, a large cluster and important trade route lying within the central-coreward part of Neworld Sector.
The system's huge primary star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Solomani State and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, while many see it as an act of duty to help protect the the State and its interests.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Minazal has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Minazal has a population of 60,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- The population almost entirely consists of Solomani humans.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Confederation.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Minazal possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Minazal is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law (L)[edit]
Minazal has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 1 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 6 (few)
- Labor: 6 (millions)
- Infrastructure: 6 (limited)
- Efficiency: -1 (average)
World Culture[edit]
- Heterogenity: B (discordant)
- Acceptance: 8 (friendly)
- Strangeness: 8 (very confusing)
- Symbols: B (abstract)
