Description / Specifications[edit]

Akuusir Subsector is relatively backwater, with many lower technology colonies struggling to achieve TL:7-9 mid-tech mastery.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Akuusir, subsector D of Dark Nebula, contains 29 worlds with an estimated combined population of 1 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,455, and a total economy of BCr6,323. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,415 through 26 starports (4 Class A, 8 Class B, 8 Class C, 6 Class D) employing 228,960 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, five Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Akuusir maintain six Military bases and five Naval bases. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 4 and 10). The highest technology level is 14 at Linate (Dark Nebula 3204).

Akuusir, subsector D of Dark Nebula, contains 44 stars and 303 identified planets; 14 monostellar systems, 15 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 22 of the 29 systems (75%) have native gas giants. There are three Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, five Poor (Po) worlds, six Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Akuusir has an estimated population of 1 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 19 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, six Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Column (Dark Nebula 3202). The population consists of 1 sophont group.

Solomani Confederation[edit]

The Solomani Confederation has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 1 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,455, and a total economy of BCr6,323. The governments in the Solomani Confederation maintain six Military bases and five Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 4 and 10). The highest technology level is 14 at Linate (Dark Nebula 3204).

The Solomani Confederation has an estimated population of 1 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 19 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, six Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Column (Dark Nebula 3202). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The most common languages of the region are as follows:

  • Rim Anglic: One of the principal dialects of one of the two official languages of the Third Imperium and an official language of the Solomani Confederation.
  • Aslanic: A patois of the Aslan's dominant language of Trokh, utilising Trokh grammar and morphology but with phonology more suited to Human vocalisation. Commonly used by Human societies that have long had contact and exchange with Aslan, noticeably those aided and uplifted by Aslan during the Long Night.
  • Osmani: A distant descendent of ancient Terran Turkish, with a large number of loanwords from Vilani and Trokh.
  • Trokh: The common language of Aslan who conform to the modern monoculture established after the Aslan Cultural Purge.

  • 380: The Peace of Ftahalr ends the ongoing Aslan Border Wars and establishes understandings regarding Human and Aslan influence.
  • 588: The Old Earth Union and the former territories of the Terran Mercantile Community are annexed by the Imperium, moving its border adjacent to the Aslan Hierate.
  • 1037: A conference of activists draft and sign the Akuusir Charter, which asserts that because the Akuusir Cluster had been originally colonised by Solomani, the worlds rightfully belong to the Confederation.
    • The Charter includes a mutual defence agreement and several resolutions, including petitioning the Secretariat for admission
  • 1041: Satwor becomes a member of the Solomani Confederation, beginning the rapid absorption of other Cluster worlds.
    • The cluster annexation is denounced by powerful Aslan clans and imposes a significant burden on district and regional resources.
  • 1068: The Aslan Hlawya clan, once dominant in Akuusir Subsector, are broken in battle by the Solomani military at Chacimu.
