Between the Peace of Ftahalr and the expansion of the Solomani Confederation, the exiled Aslan Clan Treakhouaia came to dominate the worlds along the lucrative Wu-Kusyu route, including Fonfado.
Within the wider Solomani Confederation, this world is part of the Akuusir Charter Organisation, a multi-world government with a political and administrative centre on Satwor.

Fonfado has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions.
