Akuusir Cluster

The Akuusir Cluster is a group of 32 systems in Dark Nebula Sector, on the spinward border of the Solomani Confederation.

Its systems are in the process of being assimilated into the Confederation, but economically the Cluster is more a burden than an asset, with most economic aid wasted on corrupt or inept planetary governments.

26 worlds are limited to pre-stellar Tech Levels or less -- 13 of these having only industrial Tech Levels or less.

The Cluster is a haven for pirates, brigands and outlaws.

Culture[edit]

Solomani Security has had great difficulty negotiating the complex tribal rivalries within the Cluster.

Many of these worlds, due to historical circumstances, use the Trokh-influenced Aslanic as their first language.

The Solomani Party in Magyar Sector spent decades actively recruiting colonists for the Akuusir Cluster in an ill-advised attempt to shore up these worlds. Private organisations targeted disaffected citizens on poor, high population worlds, raising considerable funds for passage and supplies but then failing to invest in training or support, dumping hundreds of thousands of ill-prepared refugees into low technology conditions.
