The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Detsiaiem Subsector:
 +
* The subsector is an average stellar density region.
 +
* The brightest star is the red bright giant primary of the Bintie system.

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Detsiaiem Subsector is shown right.

* The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.

* The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
 +

 +
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
 +
* Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
 +
* Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

 +
The Borealis Group can be seen as a bright, dense, noticeable grouping of stars in the skies to Spinward-rimward.
 +
* It is a huge cluster of stars centered on the supergiant Theta Borealis.
 +
* It is a distinctive astrographic feature that can be observed from all across Charted Space.

Detsiaiem Subsector is subsector A of Far Frontiers Sector.

Description / Specifications[edit]

Borealis Group Stars
Borealis Group

Detsiaiem Subsector lies on the rimward edge of the Zhodani Consulate. It is largely populated by Zhodani, along with small populations of Droyne and Chirpers. There are no significant populations of Addaxur.

 • The resources of the subsector are being exploited.

The Consulate administers two Forbidden Worlds and two Unabsorbed worlds here, including the Chirper world of Ku Pryuld, which is also an acknowledged Ancients Site.

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes[edit]

The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Detsiaiem Subsector:

 • The subsector is an average stellar density region.
 • The brightest star is the red bright giant primary of the Bintie system.

Note that an alternate version of this subsector exists.

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Detsiaiem Subsector is shown right.

 • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
 • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

 • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
 • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Borealis Group[edit]

The Borealis Group can be seen as a bright, dense, noticeable grouping of stars in the skies to Spinward-rimward.

The Borealis Group contains significant amounts of gas and dust that reflects and refracts the light of the stars, giving it an ethereal glow.

World Listing[edit]

Note that an alternate version of this subsector exists.

Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Detsiaiem subsector is available.

 • The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
 • Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.

AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:

28 Worlds in the Detsiaiem Subsector

Subsector Summary[edit]

Detsiaiem, subsector A of Far Frontiers contains 28 worlds with an estimated population of 20 billion, a per capita income of Cr6,454, and a total economy is BCr133,173. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr5,253 through 19 starports (5 Class A, 6 Class B, 6 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 818,830 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, four Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, four Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Detsiaiem maintain three Naval bases, two Military bases, and two Scout bases. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 3 and 11). The highest technology level is 14 at Chtanshar (Far Frontiers 0108) and Detsia (Far Frontiers 0609).

Detsiaiem, subsector A of Far Frontiers contains 40 stars and 312 identified planets; 17 monostellar systems, ten binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 24 of the 28 systems (85%) have native gas giants. There are two Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, one Poor (Po) world, six Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Detsiaiem has an estimated population of 20 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, one Moderate population (Ph) world, 20 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and three Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Yiantsiensh (Far Frontiers 0507). The population consists of 3 sophont groups.

3 identified sophont populations in Detsiaiem

Zhodani Consulate, Iadr Nsobl Province[edit]

The Zhodani Consulate, Iadr Nsobl Province has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated population of 20 billion, a per capita income of Cr6,454, and a total economy is BCr133,173.
