Subsector A of the Amdukan Sector.
Description[edit]
Astrographic Features & Trade Routes: 1105[edit]
The following astrographic features, trade routes, mains, clusters, and traces can be found within this area:
The Nudashiir Lagani[edit]
All but two worlds in the subsector lie on the Nudashiir Lagani, the great Lishun-Gashikan Main.
- An eclectic mix of vessels, both Human and Vargr, work their ways along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.
- Worlds on the Main are highlighted in green.
Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]
Zimigsika, subsector A of Amdukan, contains 33 worlds with an estimated combined population of 74 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,179, and a total economy of BCr312,311. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,981 through 25 starports (3 Class A, 9 Class B, 10 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 248,770 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, five Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, five Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Zimigsika maintain seven Military bases and six Naval bases. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 4 and 9). The highest technology level is 12 at Zimigsika (Amdukan 0209).
Zimigsika, subsector A of Amdukan, contains 50 stars and 364 identified planets; 16 monostellar systems, 17 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 33 systems (75%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, three Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, eight Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.
Zimigsika has an estimated population of 74 billion distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, eight Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 12 Low population (Lo) worlds, and two Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Gagabid (Amdukan 0706). The population consists primarily of 3 sophont groups.

Julian Protectorate[edit]
The Julian Protectorate has jurisdiction over 31 worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 74 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,180, and a total economy of BCr312,107. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,979 through 23 starports (3 Class A, 8 Class B, 9 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 248,510 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, four Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in the Julian Protectorate maintain seven Military bases and six Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 4 and 9). The highest technology level is 12 at Zimigsika (Amdukan 0209).
The Julian Protectorate, has an estimated population of 74 billion within the subsector, distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, eight Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 11 Low population (Lo) worlds, and two Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Gagabid (Amdukan 0706). The population consists primarily of 3 sophont groups.
Non-Aligned, Human-dominated[edit]
There are two Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Zimigsika with an estimated combined population of 70 million.

Linguistic Topography: 1116[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly encountered in this astrographic region:
- Anglic: Common to many Human worlds.
- Julian Anglic: The most common variant in the sector, and an official language of the Julian Protectorate.
- Hhraki: Also known as Hhkarn; the primary language of the Hhkar. Hhkar travel frequently and may be found wandering much of Julian and adjacent space.
- Irilitok: The language family of the most populous Vargr phenotype and ethnic culture within the Julian Protectorate.
- Rrakfugk: An Irilitok language common in the Asimikigir Confederation.
- Ovaghoun: The language family of a populous Vargr phenotype and ethnic culture.
- Ikonaz Vargr: A form of the dominant Ovaghoun language in the Ikonaz Sphere (and so in the Rukadukaz Republic).
- Ikonaz Vilani: A variant of the above altered to suit Human vocalization.
- Vilani: Common to many Human worlds. Many human dialects in the region have Vilani roots.
- Wawa-pakekeke-wawa: The common, precise and bureaucratic language of the Bwaps. Spoken on Bwap-dominated planets and by government functionaries on any world lucky enough to retain a dedicated Bwap workforce.
Major Historical Events Timeline: 1116[edit]
These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this subsector and the surrounding region:
- -2235 to -2219: A family of Solomani traders, the Menderes, establish lucrative trade routes along the Mendan Main.
- -1658: The Sack of Gashikan, an atrocity known throughout the coreward parts of Charted Space.
- -1483 to -321: The Gashikan Race Wars rage between Human and Vargr extremists across the Extents.
- -321: Karik Menderes of Menderes Corporation raises all Menderes Vargr to the status of employees.
- This starts a movement that makes slavery illegal on Asimikigir by -302.
- -275: Tran Menderes breaks precedent by accepting a Vargr offer to carry Menderes goods off planet. Until now, Kudukara Lines, the principle transport line of the Second Empire of Gashikan, has carried all goods for the region.
- (175 to 191): Julian War; the region unites to fight off the Third Imperium as it attempts to incorporate Amdukan, Mendan and Meshan sectors by force.
- Early 600s: After centuries of increasingly common peaceful (if wary) interaction, the Hhkar Sphere joins the Julian Protectorate.
- 933-936: The defection of the Damlaer Union from the Julian Protectorate to the Hegemony of Lorean leads to the Lorean Strikes. Failed military action leads to a major political crisis within the Protectorate.
- 940: As part of this political upheaval, the government of the Ikonaz Sphere collapses, replaced by the Rukadukaz Republic.
- 942: The Protectorate and the Hegemony formally sign the Treaty of Var-Inaka (restricting naval basing) and the Julian Concord, incorporating the Hegemony into the Julian Protectorate.
- 1070: The Second Empire of Gashikan is shattered by civil war.
- In the aftermath, while many Gashikan systems recoalesce into the Third Empire of Gashikan, others form the Commonwealth of Mendan and instead join the Julian Protectorate.
