Xabula is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Borethane Subsector of Neworld Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This dangerous world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it dangerous to visitors.
- It is the homeworld of the Xabulamanti.
- About 80% of the population is composed of Xabulamanti.
- Around 20% of the population is composed of Dolphins.

Mainworld Data[edit]
Xabula orbits towards the inner edge of its star's habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Xabula is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Xabula has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences relatively high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Xabula has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Almost none of the world's land surface is inhabited. Dolphins and Xabulamanti are aquatic, occupying large territories in the world's oceans.

Xabula is a Danger World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.

Native Sophont[edit]
It is the homeworld of the Xabulamanti, an aquatic sophont species that have little ability to incorporate into Solomani society.
The Solomani Confederation has opened this world to Dolphin colonization. The native Xabulamanti have not reacted well to this, apparently suffering a decline in numbers.
Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but a few see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Xabula has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Xabula has a population of 4,000,000 sophonts (millions).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- Around 80% of the population (roughly 3.2 million individuals) consists of native Xabulamanti.
- About 20% of the population (almost 800,000 individuals) is made up of dolphins.
- A few humans, largely working as starport personnel.

The most commonly heard languages are:
- Delphinic Trinary, the principal language of Dolphins.
- Native Xabulamanti languages. These remain largely untranslated – only a few words and phrases are understood.
- Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Confederation.

Xabula is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

Xabula has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
