Once known as Akizuma Subsector, this is Subsector E of Neworld Sector.
Description / Specifications[edit]
Dolphins have settled extensively in the rimward part of the subsector, working as part of the Confederation. Apes are also found here, with one of the largest populations in Charted Space, on Monument.
Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]
Borethane, subsector E of Neworld, contains 31 worlds with an estimated combined population of 48 billion, a per capita income of Cr7,035, and a total economy of BCr340,450. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr5,794 through 26 starports (8 Class A, 6 Class B, 9 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 873,420 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, four Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, six Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Borethane maintain six Military bases and five Naval bases. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 14 at Burgoyne (Neworld 0115), Borethane (Neworld 0411), Romansel (Neworld 0611), and Seguranca (Neworld 0720).
Borethane, subsector E of Neworld, contains 39 stars and 336 identified planets; 24 monostellar systems, six binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 31 systems (80%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.
Borethane has an estimated population of 48 billion distributed across seven High population (Hi) worlds, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, eight Low population (Lo) worlds, and two Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Borethane (Neworld 0411) and Seguranca (Neworld 0720). The population consists primarily of 5 sophont groups including one native sophont.
