Tussah is a hellworld with an inhospitable environment that makes conditions difficult for most sophonts.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations. Those who dwell on such worlds often develop intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- It is a member of the Jurisdiction of Nadon in the Nadon Subsector of Hanstone Sector.
- This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.
- It is a member of the Nadon Cluster.
- This world is controlled by Hast-Ra-Kodi.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Tussah has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Tussah orbits towards the outer edge of its star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Tussah is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Tussah has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Tussah has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Tussah is a member of the Nadon Cluster, a cluster and trade route lying across the border between Canopus Sector and Hanstone Sector.
Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the State and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, while a few see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.
- Agents acting on behalf of the Jurisdiction do what they can to monitor SolSec activity and counter anything against the state's interests.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Tussah has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Tussah has a population of 40,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- The population almost entirely consists of humans of Solomani descent.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Solomani Confederation.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Tussah possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Tussah has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
It is directly controlled by Hast-Ra-Kodi.
World Law (L)[edit]
Tussah has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
