Khisham Subsector is subsector C of Massilia Sector.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)

The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Khisham Subsector:

Astrographic Features[edit]

The subsector is a generally unremarkable area lying within the Imperial Core.

  • It is an average stellar density region.
  • The brightest star is the orange subgiant primary of the Irlu system.

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Khisham Subsector, right:

  • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
  • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

  • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
  • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Trade Routes[edit]

A number of important trade routes lie within the region. High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels moving along them, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between their member worlds.

Dunea Main[edit]

Dunea Main.(Chart sourced from Traveller Map.)

Seven systems with the subsector are members of the Dunea Main, a major trade route primarily located within the rimward half of the Core Sector. It has 62 member worlds.

  • The systems within the subsector lie on the Elan Spur, an outlying arm of the Main.

A basic chart of the Dunea Main is shown, right:

  • Worlds lying on the Main are highlighted in green.

Khisham Cluster[edit]

The Khisham Cluster lies in the rimward half of the subsector. It has 10 member worlds.

Serpent Cluster[edit]

Five worlds within the subsector are members of the Serpent Cluster, a long thin chain of stars crossing the border between Khisham and Zalucha Subsectors. It has 14 member worlds.

  • Worlds lying within the Cluster are highlighted in tan.

Wynd Cluster[edit]

Six worlds within the subsector are members of the Wynd Cluster, a small cluster of systems lying along the border between Khisham and Zalucha Subsectors.

  • The Cluster It has 11 member worlds.

World Listing[edit]

Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Khisham Subsector is available.

  • The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
  • Other sources may differ: some elements of the data may be contradictory or incorrect.
  • Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.

AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:

  • Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.

Subsector Timeline[edit]

Subsector Summary[edit]

Khisham, subsector C of Massilia, contains 30 worlds with an estimated combined population of 187 billion, a per capita income of Cr13,218, and a total economy of BCr2,471,804. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr27,744 through 27 starports (6 Class A, 18 Class B, 1 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 4,372,955 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, five Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Khisham maintain eight Naval bases and two Scout bases. The average technology level is 11 (with most between 9 and 14). The highest technology level is 15 at Khisham (Massilia 1910), Germer (Massilia 2004), Irlu (Massilia 2008), Bakerian (Massilia 2301), Dumeras (Massilia 2308), and Wynd (Massilia 2407).

Khisham, subsector C of Massilia, contains 43 stars and 304 identified planets; 18 monostellar systems, 11 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 28 of the 30 systems (93%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, two Poor (Po) worlds, seven Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Khisham has an estimated population of 187 billion distributed across six High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, five Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Wynd (Massilia 2407), Iggarir (Massilia 2007), Inarim (Massilia 2103), and Dumeras (Massilia 2308). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups including a native sophont.
