Theta Aurigae is a barren vacuum world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Theta Aurigae Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.
- It orbits the secondary star.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Theta Aurigae is a binary star system.
- The primary is a turbulent blue white giant named Theta Aurigae A. It is also known as Mahasim and Bogardus.
- The secondary is a yellow-white main sequence named Theta Aurigae B.

Notes[edit]
Theta Aurigae A (Mahasim / Bogardus) is a Variable Star. Mahasim is it's traditional / proper name whilst Theta Aurigae is the Bayer classification for the star system.
The two stars both have elliptical orbits around their barycenter, which lies close to the stellar surface of Theta Aurigae A. At periastron, their closest approach, the two stars are about 3.7 AU apart. At apastron, their furthest separation, they are about 144 AU apart.
- They have an orbital period around one another of 460 standard years.
Mahasim is one of the main stars in the Terran constellation Auriga, forming part of the constellation's outline.
- Based on the spectral type (A0p Si) of the star, the color of Theta Aurigae A is blue-white.
- It is a chemically peculiar star with an abnormal abundance of silicon.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x8 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Theta Aurigae orbits towards the outer edge of the yellow secondary star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Theta Aurigae is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Theta Aurigae has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Theta Aurigae has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Theta Aurigae A, the system's huge primary star, causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Theta Aurigae has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Theta Aurigae is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Theta Aurigae possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.
- The world has no technological base.
World Government (G)[edit]
Theta Aurigae has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
Theta Aurigae has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
