Description (Specifications)
The Saqqari Ziaddishi, or the Zeda Alignment, was a Ziadd pocket empire that flourished, fell, and rose again during the Long Night.

History & Background (Dossier)
During the Rule of Man, the Ziadd retained their jump capable fleet, and slowly expanded their empire to cover almost all of Zeda Subsector, as well as parts of Shallows, Ushra and Remnants.
- Around -750 the world of Ushra regained their jump drive capability. They promptly began expanding their own pocket empire. In response the Ziadd worlds formed a defense league to protect their worlds. War broke out between the two empires in -642.
- Outmatched by the Ushran navy, the war went badly for the Ziadd. The Ushran captured Zeda in -639 after a long and bloody campaign.
- By -600 the Ushran empire had conquered most of the former Ziadd worlds. Most, but not all. The Ziadd forces, now scattered, began a campaign of corsair activity to support the ongoing rebellions on the Ziadd worlds in the Ushran empire.
- By -400 the Zeda Alignment corsairs began to capture whole worlds, the Ushran Navy no longer able to keep them at bay. The slow war ground on for the next four hundred years, with the Zeda Alignment making slow gains throughout the Zeda subsector.
- Finally in 46 a series of uprisings on Zeda, supported by the corsairs sufficently weakened the military control of the world. In 65, the rebellion supported by the regular troops of the corsair bands retake the world. For the first time in more than six centuries the Ziadd home world was back under Ziadd control.
- The new Zeda Alignment centered on Zeda lasted only a few years. By 96 the overwhelming forces of the resurgent Third Imperium forced the Ziadd to choose another long war or integration. The Ziadd chose integration and the Zeda Alignment was disbanded.
